Here's another Great Bike and some words from it's owner :
I have all ways thought the 1947
Indian Chief fender was the baddest fender ever made, so when I ran across your
web site in search for one I jumped on it, since it was going on a 2004 VTX 1300
Honda I wanted one that did not have predrilled holes and such. The install was
fairly easy with the exception of the inner bracket made for the old
fender, which I chose to use, it had to be cut and modified to work with the
slimmer fender, then for outer spacers were used to take up the space between
the forks and fender. Last once the fender was in place, the brake caliper was
put in place then scribed around it for the area to be cut out, a roto zip
worked great for that. Then it was prime and paint. The hardest part of the
whole process was waiting for the paint to dry. Thanks for a great fender....
And here are are a few more pics from Al and his VTX up in Alaska
John, Without you as an inspiration and your technical help, I would have never imagined this project. The bike came out better than I could have ever seen in my mind's eye. I still can't believe it's my bike, Thanks again !!!, Al
Roth Rat Fink Tribute 2003:
This sculpture has been awhile in the making, ever since Big Daddy past away I wanted to do a sculpture depicting him and his Lovable Creature he made Rat Fink. I wanted to make this for all the inspiration he had given me over the years, I worked on this on week ends and when ever I could find the time, I needed a Good picture of Ed to go by and after looking for some time I found a picture from the early 60's that showed Ed airbrushing a shirt and turned slightly to the camera giving a Very Sly Ed Roth Look this was the pictured I needed to get started, so after two years in the making this is what I came up with, I sent a couple of them out to Moldy Marvin in California to be auctioned off at the 4th annual Rat Fink Party, take a look and let me know what ya think.
